My job is to talk to strangers for several hours a day. Working from home still. I log into my work computer, I switch the available button from my phone service from red to green. Available for incoming calls until the moment I can end my shift again. With each person I communicate with, I try to be as sincere and honest as possible. I don’t like to make a promise that I cannot keep. Straightforward and accurately, I try to balance through each connection I make with each client. Hundreds of strangers I speak to each day. For an introvert, this is sometimes a challenge but can be fullfilling too. The thought of helping as many people as I can with the work that I do, I think it’s rather cool.
And after another long day working, I log off and enjoy the silence.
