Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills.
– Habakuk 3:17-19
As we walk our path of life, it may leas us through hills and valleys. There will be times of great joy but also times of great troubles. We try our best to make it through our days. We try to hold on to what is right. We want to try control the way things go. But sometimes we slip and fall without knowing how to get back upo our feet again. Because life is full of wordly circumstances that no man can control.
The school of life can be hard. Some lessons we have to take over and over again. Some lessons only are given once. We get chances to do it better every tomorrow. We even get to do better today.
I’ve learned that it is impossible to be able to understand everything. The older I get the more I come to realize that I really don’t know all of the world’s craziness and life’s strange plottwists. All I know is that with a positive mindset and in trust that God sees the bigger picture and have Faith that He will make sense of it all.
It is perhaps a cliche but it is so true; Regardless what may cross our path as we all go through our own journey of life; the way we carry ourselves despite of it all is what helps us grow, yes or no.
For example: A family is always fighting amoungst one another. The grandmother is suffering from all sorts of illnesses and incapable of taking care of herself. Grandmother is lonely and her kids don’t talk to eachother. They do not trust one another enough and blame one another for not doing enough for grandmother.
It happens in the best families on earth; different personalities clashing so bad that they distant themselves from one another become like stranger. Heartbreaking it is when stubborness seems strong enough to tear a family apart.
But God is love and through Jesus Christ, He teaches us that love can conquer anything. And that when two people pray together, miracles will happen.
Every Sunday in church, whenever they can, the grandchildren pray together. And they try to talk to their parents and aunts and uncles. Focusing not on the bad stuff in that left a mark on the family, but on good things. They proclaim in faith that grandmother will have a better situation. They proclaim in prayer that God will provide for her a place where she will not be alone and have the best of care.
One unfortunate day, Grandmother has a stroke. Her kids contact one another. They all want what is best for her and try to find a way to work together.
The doctors decide that Grandmother needs to be brought to a Retirement Home. And she is not just brought to any Retirement Home, but to the same place where Grandmother worked as a nurse herself when she was a young woman. The same place where she met her late husband years ago.
Now, Grandmother is more cheerful tan ever, surrounded by her peers. Her kids and grandkids visit her almost every day of the week. She is surrounded by keen nurses who do the best they can to make her stay as comfortable as possible.
God provides. When we trust Him with our lives and the lives of our loved ones, He will take care of us and help us. He will make a way when there seems to be no way.
