Hello lurking lurkers.
Today I am still hanging out with the dad. Earlier today he said he was experiencing excruciating pain. His operated eye has swollen more and is red. I called the emergency line of the hospital for advice. When the lady asked whether dad had brought along any painkillers from the hospital I got a bit mad. Because the nurse at the hospital said that he could do with simple Paracetamol. Ridiculous. Thankfully she put me through to an actual doctor and after I explained my dad’s situation again, the doctor faxed a new prescription for medication which could be picked up at a nearby pharmacy.
My dad’s wife picked up the medication only to discover that they are not painkillers. She had her own painkillers luckily and gave my dad some of those to ease the pain.
The old man has been sleeping most of the day. He is sleeping right this moment. The painkillers don’t really help so he says.
If things won’t change, I fear we might have to go back to the hospital with him today or tomorrow.
The dad was the most impossible grumpy pirate yesterday. It drained allot of my energy.
But there is strength and comfort in my Heavenly Father, He Who is with us no matter what we face. He gives me energy when my earthly dad drains it away.
I was not able to go to church today, watched some TV preachers
And now, oh Lord God, Thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou has promised this goodness unto thy servant. [2sam7:28]
Even when it hurts, louder then I’ll shout Your praise.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea: Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with swelling thereof. Se’lah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early. The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Se’lah
Come, behold the works of the Lord, what desolations he hath made in the earth. He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Se’lah.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
