Howl’s Moving Castle still gives me goosebumps whenever I see it. The story is just so breath takening and it is one of the few movies I could actually play on auto-repeat for days in a row without becoming more insane than I already am.
The story is originally written by Diana Wynne Jones. I’m quite curious to see if I can get my hands on the novel. I’ve read some reviews about both the anime and the novel, mentioning missing plots and characters in the movie and how different certain characters interact throughout the progress of the story. I’ve seen offerings of Diana’s novel on Bol.com so I’m wishfully thinking about purchasing it. Would be a nice addition to my current fantasy novel collection. (One of the perks of being the previous co-owner of a bookstore..)
And I just love Studio Ghibli and all the wonderful Anime movies it has produced throught the years. It’s more quality than any other random kids show you see these days. Studio Ghibli takes the inner child upon a stroll through a mesmerizing world. It is an addiction, seriously. As a matter of fact; I’m downloading yet another Ghibli production titled The Secret World Of Arrietty right now. Found the torrent here. (
God Bless Kat.Ph:))
If you haven’t been able to see the movie yet and you are into Anime and fantasy stories, this one will surely sweep you off your feet. I’ve downloaded my own copy here. (
God bless Pirate Bay :))
Aside from the unique love story told in Howl’s Moving Castle, I just can’t stop admiring the moving castle. Gosh, I so wish I had a house like Howl; One that can just “walk away” whenever the area and surroundings aren’t comfortable anymore. Of course one could go for a house on wheels; a camper or some sort. But that’s not quite as charming as Howl’s Moving Castle.
