WTF…?! Is it weekend yet?

My God; it’s Wednesday! Another day of working hard for a crappy salary and sore feet.

But I had fun today, though…

Yeah…

Because I’m the crazy chick who bounces around at work with music playing in my head while humming along to it. From the “Get Along Gang” to Sam Cooke’s “The Chain Gang“, from Passenger’s “Wrong Direction” to Limp Bizkit’s “Douchebag“, from The Smurf’s Theme Song to christmas songs.

Thankfully I’m not the only one at work who does it. A co-worker of mine hums and bounces around too. He’s pretty funny. Most of my co-workers are pretty funny. (Unfortunately this guy thinks a Playstation 3 is way better than the Xbox 360, while he just got himself the Xbox 360 recently WITH Fallout 3, while he claims Black Opps is way better and… Ah never mind…). It’s always nice to know that insanity is everywhere and in everyone you meet. It makes you feel “normal”.

Some find it (the humming and bouncing) annoying, others now tend to chuckle when I enter the work area. Even my grumpy boss can’t help but laugh when I enter the place. As of today I have a new nickname too; “Flying Maria” (nobody knows how to pronounce my real name, so they call me Maria for God knows why).

I think it’s good that I make my co-workers laugh. I take it as a compliment. Despite of all the “boring” routines we do at work, it’s good to keep yourself entertained. And if others aren’t entertained, at least I entertain myself. And I highly believe in having fun with the self, ya’know. It’s very important.

Despite of my screeching alarm, I managed to oversleep today. I set an alarm for every single step I have to take in the morning. From the moment I wake up to the moment I rush to the bus stop; there’s an alarm for every step of the way. I even have an alarm set for the shower, because I tend to fall asleep there. I’m serious! For some reason I was lucky that I still managed to enter the work area 10 minutes before time. So I was on time… But dang…

I do think I need to change my wake up call. ‘Cause Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” just failed me this morning and I can’t afford to fail on me again.

Or maybe it’s because I had another attack of the “can’t-sleep-so-let’s-play-a-video-game-instead” last night, which others might call a “video-game-addiction” or just plain out insomnia. Either way, I had no time to use my other alarms for the day. All I had time for was to brush my teeth and rush to the bus.  *wtf?!*

Yes, I sure smelled good today… I did, actually. Aparently my “fresh-out-of-bed” scent did well on the male co-workers and innocent male by standers at the bus stop. Or maybe it’s ’cause I was humming and bouncing around like an energized Duracell Bunny.

*ahum*

So…

Anyway… I survived yet another 9-hour shit – I mean shift. Worked with a lot of shit too, today, though. Over 5000 crates filled with stuff that looks disgusting but is apparently very tasty. I feel bad for the poor old folks who are going to eat that stuff tomorrow. We produce food for hospitals and retirement homes, so a lot of stuff just looks like someone had a bad case of the stomach flu. And we’ll be having lots of more gunk tomorrow! I’m starting to miss the spaghetti already…

Anyway… I’ll be kicking my feet up now and I think it’s time for me to behead some innocent villagers now in the Capital Wastelands. But first I’ll set my new alarm for the upcoming morning. At the moment I’m doubting between System of a Down’s Chop Suey, Psy’s Gangnam Style or Nick Carter’s Burning Up. Yep, they are all so diverse yet they are loud and I need something LOUD in the morning to pull my lazy body out of a coma.
