Well, I finally managed to actually snap pictures of the 4 paintings I made so far that I made from old cigarette litter and other junk. Feel free to check ‘m out under the Creative Random Outburst tab, section Bits of Paint. Feel free to comment. People who have seen the paintings so far all had the same phrase; “what the fuck is that?!” Yes, I’m good at sharing WTF moments, aren’t I?
A part of me is thinking of retouching some of ‘m later but I don’t know, I’m quite happy with the way they look now…
Besides, I still have heaps of other empty cigarette packs that I want to use. Some are already decorated, they just need a sheet with some paint splattered on it. And I made some more dolls of rope too, to add to the paintings. Those rope dolls are quite fun to make too.
My personal favorite is the yellow painting, because of the rope doll I added to it. I just love the rope doll, he’s so cute! At first I didn’t even wanted to pin him onto a sheet, because he’s the first rope doll I made. I actually had it dangling on the wall near my pillow the past few weeks, before I could actually decide whether I wanted him on a painted sheet or not. But I love the way it worked out. It’s just cute. And it’s not like he’s pinned to the painting… He’s still dangeling. You can see it in the other pictures I made of this specific painting, go ahead and see for yourself how cool he looks!
My sister says my rope dolls look more like a voodoo doll, because of the pins I use (for the eyes). It’s not a voodoo doll though, just a doll made of rope. A Rope Doll! Wahahahaha. OMG, I am so sick in the head…
*ahum* Moving on…
On another note: I’ve removed my Eclectic Audio Addiction playlist; The one that used to be seen in the right menu. Somehow Spotify is acting up and I don’t like seeing a big white “gateway error”, so…. I might fix it later on and otherwise I’ll just put something else in that corner…
Anyhoo…
In between my painting day, I’ve been watching Corina, Corina, with Whoopi Goldberg. She is just so awesome in that movie. I couldn’t help but cheer like a spazmic schoolgirl when her first scene came up in the movie. I’ve seen it so many times but I can’t help myself; Whoopi Goldberg is my hero XD
And this movie is just so inspirational, like a lot of her movies are. It’s about a dad and his daughter who are in need of a nanny after the wife/mom dies. The kid refused to talk and the dad is desperate because he also has a job as a composer. So he looks for a nanny and eventually hires Whoopi. In a time when mixing races was a big no-no, Whoopi and the kid become really close and even the dad can’t ignore her witty attitude. I LOVE this movie, have I mentioned that already? Because I am so going to watch it again in a second.
I’ve also watched The Green Mile with Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan (may he rest in peace). Gosh, that movie is still very moving. It just makes you feel so sad for the big giant who gets to be accused of a brutal murder and gets to be placed in a waiting cell for death row…. Where he meets Tom Hanks, a prison guard. And things become very interesting, sad and inspirational throughout the rest of the film. If you like Shawshank Redemption (<- a personal favorite of mine, watched it SO many times) you’d like The Green Mile too.
Anyway, The Green Mile inspired me to make two green decorated “treasure traps”, as I call the altered cigarette packs now.
Yeah….
I’m going to watch Corina, Corina again now. Later tater.
I love your art. When will we see more?
Very nice!
