So… I changed the layout and the header. I’m not completely satisfied with the header. I don’t like the fact that the search engine goes straight through my cartoon. Might have to fix that later on…

So I’ve been trying to molest Linkin Park’s Lost In The Echo. I read something about it on Facebook and Twitter and somehow ended up signing myself up at the website Indaba Music to enter myself for the contest.

I’m not much of a producer. I have a microphone though… And I do have Audacity installed on my run down PC (the only program that seemed to work properly enough). I’ve tried installing other software in the past, but my PC just isn’t strong enough for stuff like Fruity Loops or the likes. Which is fine, I don’t compete to win.

It’s interesting to hear every stream of the Lost In The Echo song, in parts. So the a capella vocals (Man, Mike and Chester sure breathe heavily in the microphone… I know Chester was sick during the recording sessions but… Wow… They both sound like they got issues with their lungs, no offence), the guitar bits and the synth bits and so on. I’m IN LOVE with Phoenix’ Pharrell’s baselines. I’ve been listening, solely, to the baseline for almost the entire day already. I love baselines XD

I’m too shy to share what I did with the song so far. How could I ever compete with the so-called DJ’s of this modern society? I’ve shared my version just with my mom and a few friends. They seemed to like it but friend and relatives usually tend to give “uplifting feedback”. So how reliable is it, when they say “Ah girl, you sound so nice on that track you should totally send it in”?

Maybe it’s just my messed up mind… I don’t know.

I’ll go try to molest the song some more and see if I can find more confidence to actually put the song online for others to “bash it”.
