Aren’t they? The weekends just pass by so fast it’s not even funny. It sometimes feels like the weekends are barely one day. Maybe it’s also due to the fact that I tend to sleep more during the weekend and come alive around the afternoon. But hell, weekends are way too short.
The day went on quite slow, though. But too fast, at the same time. It’s another bedtime already. And here I am again, wide awake at night as always. Yes, I have such a good sleeping habit. I am so good at that. **ahum**
Anyway…
Our movie day became more of a movie night, with just my best friend and her boyfriend after the kid had been put to bed. We watched The Punisher; Warzone. Another movie filled with blood and gore. Man, it just cracks me up, tee-hee. And human flesh eating crazy people, instead of zombies. So yesterday’s theme sort of had it’s shade on today’s movie night. I love marvel comics. Am curious about The Amazing Spiderman too, by the way. Ofcourse the comic always tends to be much better than the movie, but hey it was entertaining to watch The Punisher today, none-the-less.
My best friend’s kid needed her hair fixed earlier today, before she had to go to bed. She’s black, her hair is pretty hard to fix. Especially now that it’s very long. It’s a lot frizzier than my own hair, and I tend to wreck combs with mine. I demolished a comb the other day actually. Yeah, got some fiesty hair for sure. But my best friend’s kid tops me. Don’t know how I managed to get cuts all over my wrists while fixing that frizzy hair of hers but sure am glad the bleeding finally stopped. Wow… Now THAT’S really fiesty hair!

e I was helping the kid with her hair, I tried to make a new episode for the Gatsie… And Such comic. You can find your way to the comic by looking at the top of my blog. Or just click here. Haven’t made anything new for a week or so. Until today, ofcourse. Coming up with a comic is pretty hard. I can’t really say that the episodes actually make sense. But hey, it’s a way to keep me occupied.
My best friend’s kid saw me making the new episode and thought it was funny. She was curious about the other episodes I made too. So I showed a few of ‘m. Not all of ‘m, some are not really kids proof. She thought it was quite funny and wanted to try and make one by herself. The imagenation of an 8-year-old is quite interesting. I have a hard time trying to fill up 6 to 8 blank frames, the kid managed to fill up 18. Most of the frames are filled with random drawings now and the story doesn’t really make sense. Not that my comics make sense though.. It was fun to see her do it.
I type about 200 words a minute. The kid is slowly following my typing speed too now. Am really impressed with that also.
Yep, like I mentioned in my previous post; the kid’s slowly becoming a lil’ me. I have all the luxury of “creating a clone” without a 9-month pregnancy or any of that bullshit. I can just borrow my friend’s kid from time to time, how fun is that?
Yeah… Tomorrow’s another school day. Just two more weeks and it’s finally summer break. Tomorrow my best friend and I have an appointment at the school of her kid. We’re going to talk about her final report of the passed year. She nearly passed and is moving up one class by September, but still has a few issues regarding certain basics like reading, calculating and that sort of stuff. Which has more to do with her stubborn attitude to my opinion. Cause she learned to make her own comic in an hour with me. And she typed out her own story all by herself with little help. So if she’s up for it, she does have the ability to pick up things fast.
So tomorrow’s going to be interesting. I’m really curious on what the teacher is going to say. Normally it’s a parents thing to attend these appointments. I’m just a friend of the family. Or a borrowed “mom”, I guess… Hmm, that sounded weird.
God, I really need to crawl under the sheets now and sleep.
I saw your comics. They are very cute. I also like the bathroom sketch you made. Is it part of a new story? I agree, weekends are too short indeed! ha ha 🙂
