Well… It was a typical Monday. The snowy sky got traded in for rain. And it’s been pouring ever since. Down south they do have snow, so I’ve heard. Them people in the south of Holland are always lucky with that stuff…

Lots of co-workers had that same Monday feeling, with that same question on their face; “why did the weekend have to end already?” The first hours were a real drag. The chef who usually is pretty nice to me was all grumpy today. Even after pulling another “Flutter Maria” he still wasn’t laughing. (It’s actually just me running, which apparently is very amusing to see. Ask my sis, she peed her pants once when I ran to catch a bus. One of the many reasons why I never run for busses anymore…)

Apparently something happened last Friday, when I had a day off, the guys at work had another drink together again. It’s something they do every Friday. I hung out once with them, but after that particulair Friday I ended up having days off on Friday… Except for upcoming Friday… (I don’t know if I should be scared or excited yet about that fact)

Anyway…

So there’s this one guy who I have lots of laughs with during work. Then again, I laugh with basically anyone at work. Hell, I laugh all by myself even!

*Yes, I suffer from high dose of crazy.*

But this guy’s really funny and sure cracks me up. He always says “WOW”, at ANY given situation. Whether it’s a machine malfunctioning, someone spreading spaghetti and meatballs all over the floor or his last cigarette falling in a puddle of mud, his response is “wow”. I just can’t help but chuckle. He also dances spontaneously out of nowhere, too. Kind of like PS3-boy-bought-Xbox360-instead, but different. Wow guy is a real fun guy.

So wow guy was planning to head to Amsterdam after the drinks and such at work. And the chef asked if he could join in. Wow guy said yes, but that he had to go pick up his car first and that he’d come get the chef later….

He ended up not picking up the chef, of course. He ended up not answering his phone the rest of the night. Basically, he stood the chef up. And so today the chef came up to Wow guy all pissed off about it. So that was the reason, among other reasons, why the chef was grumpy. What a douche….

Meanwhile I was humming christmas songs and trying to get myself energized through the first part of my shift. Which was pretty tricky, really. Not even the Smurfs song helped. Not even the Get Along Gang! Thankfully I felt like a Duracell Bunny again after my 1st break, though. Maybe it’s because of the cheap energy soda cans I had for lunch. I had a crazy ongoing ADHD moment for the rest of the shift. It actually wore off about 10 minutes ago…

Tomorrow’s gonna be yet another late shift. The entire week will be filled with late shifts, actually.  Can’t wait, yay….

I better go behead some random person in the Capital Wasteland now.
