It was about 33 celcius today here in Holland. Too hot to actually sit longer than 10 minutes in the sun. The balcony floor felt like it was on fire. The long beach chair on the balcony felt like it was on fire. The passed weekend we’ve had some almost tropical-like weather, actually. I’m not complaining here. We’ve had our share of rain a few minutes ago also. A nice balance of hot and some refreshment combined in one day. Typical Dutch weather there, even when it’s hotter than usual.
Worked some more on the piñata as well. We hung up the torso with the arms and dress attached. The head is still seperated because I’m giving the head some skin and hair. It’s gonna be a chocolate princess, instead of the typical piggy-pink Disney princesses you see mostly.
My best friend’s kid caught us again while we were working on the piñata. There was no way to fool the kid any longer. I couldn’t tell her anymore that I was having a weird mood and felt like making an alien, or a space shuttle for that matter. Because eventhough the most part of the body is still in old newspaper skin, you can tell what it’s becoming. And so the kid said “Ah, I knew it was gonna be for my birthday. She looks really nice, thanks.” Well, that’s good to know. At least she likes it so far. We made pictures of the progress of our piñata. Might share it sometime later… When it’s done.
It’s becoming quite big man. Almost as tall as the kid itself. Taller even. Fun times. Inspires me to try and do more with paper maché. Might make a painting with it or something. Could be interesting.
Anyway.
Found this cool clip of a velociraptor walking down the streets. It’s probably old but I had to share it, just cracked me up so bad and amazed me just the same. I want a pet like that! How cool would it be to walk your velociraptor at a dog park?
