So. Happy pentecost to everyone! Hope you’re having a sunny day like we have here in Holland. I’m so happy with all the sunshine. Yah, finally regaining the color I lost during wintertime 😀
This weekend we have all sorts of festivities to celebrate pentecost in Holland. There’s the Revival Weekend (Opwekking). Lots of Christian people are gathering to celebrate the Holy Spirit. People camp out there, having their days filled with christian music, testimonials and preaches from well known and not so known preachers. Tomorrow is the last day. I’ll be attending the event with friends and family. Paul Baloch will perform. It’s promising to be something special. The best thing about the event is the fact that it’s free for all. No entrance fee, except when you need to park your car.
Aside from Christian festivities there’s also Pinkpop. And Linkin Park is performing today. At this very minute actually. Most of Pinkpop’s live shows are streamed live through 3FM radio. Unfortunately Linkin Park didn’t allow the live streaming for their show. I felt a bit bummed out, because I really thought they’d show at least one song from the show…. Of course I should’ve just gone out there and gotten myself tickets for Pinkpop. But hey, 80 bucks for a ticket is a lot of money, you know? So yeah… And then I do realize it wouldn’t be fair towards those who actually did pay for tickets, if it all got aired for free. But still, I feel a bit bummed out…
Aparently they are going to show parts of the performance by Linkin Park sometime tomorrow. We’ll just have to wait and see for that, won’t we?
So tomorrow’s going to be a busy day. Leaving very early to be at the Paul Baloche performance. I don’t even know who this guy is, but it’s going to be fun with my friends and family there. I sure hope not to bump into any people I used to know from back when I was a more active church attendant. Then I’d be bummed out again. Ah, whatever. Just as long as the weather is going to be the way it is today, it’ll be fine XD
